A few of our happy Shichon families
Shichon Teddy Bears are also known as ZuChons, Teddybears, Fuzzy Wuzzy and Bichzu
The Shichon Teddy Bear puppy is a hybrid or cross between a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frise. The Shih Tzu is reported to be the oldest and smallest of the Tibetan holy dogs. These dogs were bred by the Chinese court and from them the dog we know today as the Shih Tzu developed. The Bichon was popular in France during the Renaissance under Francis I (1515–47), but its popularity skyrocketed in the court of Henry III (1574–89).
A very “healthy puppy” with a great health history; Shichon Teddy Bears are sturdy and low maintenance.
Shichon Teddy Bear puppies have a wavy, soft, and fluffy coat, which is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. They produce little or no dander, so they're great for people with allergies. Shichon Teddybears are excellent puppies for a family in need of a low maintenance puppy.
