A Message
FROM THE
OWNERS

Dear Dog Lovers,
We really hope that
you enjoy our website and that it will offer you the opportunity to
find that "one in a million" puppy for you and your family! We take
great pride in the puppies we raise and work very hard to provide
each customer with exceptional support before and after the sale.
We are a group
of twelve "in-home" breeders (mostly family and
a few friends who are closer than family) located here in the VA,
MD & DC area that breed only quality homegrown, home-raised puppies.
We decided to set up a website that would provide other families the
opportunity to view and check us out prior to purchase.
We have no red
tape, no outrageous fees, no restrictions and promise NEVER to
pretend to be anything other than what we are - a group of friends
and family that raises puppies and sits on the Beltway Monday
through Friday to get to work with the rest of the NoVA residents.
Most of us have
bred for 20 years or more and know just how disappointing it can be
to arrive at a breeders home to find five other families there for
the same puppy you drove two hours for ... or worse to arrive at a
kennel or puppymill only to tell the children you need to leave
without a puppy. We promise that will not happen here.
We decided after
visiting many other breeders that we could do better. We must do
better. We will NEVER be a pet store or a kennel and we will NEVER
support a puppymill or re-seller.
We breed for
quality, health and temperament. We warrant the health of all of our
puppies for five years and always strive for happy and healthy
puppies! Our goal is to provide a joyful puppy experience at a price
that a family can afford. As Poppa would say we breed 'home bound
puppies for families”.
All of our puppies
will be vet checked, have the full set of shots and be de-wormed
prior to delivery or pick up. All warranties and records will be in
writing in the form of a legal contract.
We hope to hear
from you soon and enjoy!
PLEASE
NOTE:
We do NOT support puppy mills and would request that no brokers,
breeders or pet stores contact us.
Kind Regards,
Brad and Lauren

the gang

Dear
Dog Lovers,
As you may know we at
DCDogfinders are members of a family much larger than
our own. As much as we enjoy being part of a great
family of breeders, we are also mothers and fathers,
sons and daughters, brothers and sisters and as much as
we offer support to each other we also care very much
about the community in which we live.
As a child of seven,
our parents and grandparents taught us that the greatest
gift in life one has to offer is of time and themselves.
We believe in giving and in sharing with others.
We have put some of the
organizations that we care about below. This allows us
to share with the community of dog lovers and friends
that we meet over the years. We also would encourage you
to get involved in “giving back”! It is immensely
rewarding and the right thing to do.
Many years ago my
grandfather told my father that if you decide to breed a
dog, do not try to be God, you’ll fail every time. But
in breeding be “god-like”. This means do the right
thing, make the right choices, listen to others and care
about everyone involved.
My grandfather Ray was
a wise man and a wonderful father, husband and
grandfather but most of all he was a good human being.
think that many dogs and people would agree with that.
When he passed away we met so many of his customers,
friends and associates. I never imagined that one person
could touch so many lives in so many wonderful ways.
That was over 12 years ago and we, as a family hope that
still today we can live up to someone that we admired
and respected, and hope that in some small way our gifts
of giving back can touch lives in a positive way.
Please click on the
links below and spend a few moments with some of the
organizations below.
Thank
you.

The ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane
organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was
formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then,
and we continue to battle cruelty today. Whether it’s
saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned,
fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from
abuse or sharing resources with shelters across the
country, we work toward the day in which no animal will
live in pain or fear. Come and join us in the fight to
end animal cruelty—

Critters For The Cure - My best friend Ali was first
diagnosed with breast cancer at age 40. Ali and I have
always had a passion for our pets and a soft heart for
all the homeless dogs and cats that face extinction if
homes cannot be found for them. We have adopted
countless critters and taken in numerous strays over the
years. It seemed only natural that a non-profit be
created to call attention to the two issues that we seem
to have the least amount of control over. If we can do
something to change people’s behavior, perhaps we can
change the outcome of the two outstanding issues that
are breaking our hearts: Homeless Dogs and Cats and
losing our best friends or the people we care about the
most to such an invasive disease. A disease that we must
conquer.
